VISUAL EVOCATIONS
Images have the power to evoque memories and to stimulate the imagination. These activities are based on that idea.
1.- Making up
This is the last picture of a beautiful film. By looking at it carefully and in groups of three or four students, tell them to say what the story was about and make up a suitable ending.
2.- For and against
Tell your students to look at it carefully and ask them the following question: WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE HERE? Then, they will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of living in a place like this one. They can do the activity in pairs or groups of three or four people and they must give reasons for their answers.
3.- A biography.
Look at the woman in the. presentation .carefully (they are the same woman at different ages) and in groups of three or four students decide what her biography can be. Make up all the information about her: her name, when and where she was born, her family, childhood, education, her job..in short, all the relevant facts and events about her life and don´t forget to organise them in chronological order!
4.- An interview
Have a look at the photo. You will work in pairs. One of you will adopt the personality of the person in the photo. The other member of the pair will interview him/her.
