Some ideas to work on  attitudes:

  - Exercises to show them how much English there is around them ( English bands and singers they like, instructions, labels, names of shops,English  words ..)

  - Teach  them strategies. Many students don´t know how to study English. If they can see that they are doing it right, their opinion about English is not so horrible!

  - Focus attention on what it is well done, there is always something we can praise and they will have the feeling that they are not so bad at English after all.

-When they make posters, workprojects..show them to the other students. They can be displayed in the class, in a corridor..or if you have your own school

website, you can upload some of them. Their self-esteem will be strengthened.

-Set objectives in the class and help your students be aware of the objectives they want to get.Be realistic about them and tell them what they can do to success.

-Show them examples about people who have had to work very hard in order to success in life even after many failures (Thomas Edison, Nelson Mandela, Einstein..)
